GBCGC Quarterly Meeting this Thursday at 11:30 a.m.
The Green Building Council of Greater Columbia will meet for a Quarterly Membership Meeting on Thursday, July 22 at the Russell & Jeffcoat Realtors Training Center located at 5219 N. Trenholm Rd., Columbia, SC 29206. Our topic for this meeting is a comparison of the various green building certification programs which has been painstakingly assembled by our very own Stan O’Brien of Paradime Construction.  We’ll see just how close all the different programs are, and learn the subtle differences.
Columbia Green Building Incentive Program Begins
Columbia Mayor Bob Coble announced Tuesday, March 30 the Green Building Incentive Program for the City of Columbia.  The program uses $100,000 in Federal Stimulus monies to encourage the construction of certified green commercial and residential buildings in the city.  Follow this link to a PDF with more information on the program and forms needed to register your project in the program.  A special thanks to our members who participated in the creation of this program.
